We are a distillery that makes Single Malt Whisky, Gin and Vodka. We have a tasting room bar, as well as many private events.

As a New York State Farm distillery, Tenmile Distillery continues the time-honored whisky traditions on which it was founded.

Tenmile Distillery produces an assortment of hand-crafted sprits distilled from only the finest local ingredients in our world-class production facility, housed in a beautifully renovated dairy barn in the heart of the Wassaic Valley.

Tenmile Distillery is seeking part-time and full-time Bartenders to work weekends, holidays, and some weekdays. As a Tenmile Distillery Bartender , one will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following :

• Mixing, garnishing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications for guests at the tasting room / bar area.
• Helping guests be aware of and choose menu items, taking orders and making guests feel taken care of during their visit.
• When necessary, providing bartending services for company events, both on-site and off-site.
• Learning and taking interest in the production aspect of Tenmile Distillery's craft spirits lineup to increase knowledge and sales experience.
• Assisting tour guides and tasting room staff with sales by providing information and support.
• Working with Tasting Room staff to create seasonal cocktails and update tasting menu.
• Keeping the bar stocked and clean while always providing friendly and attentive service.
• Adhering to company standards for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Providing Point of Sale duties including tip outs, weekly / monthly reporting, and astute checkout procedures.

Required Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Bartending experience (2 years)
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights, holidays and weekends)
• Ability to walk long distances and operate a cash register
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time

Preferred Qualifications :

• Interest / experience in the craft spirits industry
• Restaurant / Service experience
• Sales experience
• Ideally over 21 Years Old

Physical Qualifications :

• Ability to pick up and / or move objects up to 25 lbs. without assistance
• Ability to perform sedentary work that primarily involves standing and walking

Job Types : Part-time

Pay : From $15 - $20 per hour depending on experience
